A store manager was on the receiving end of his customer’s anger, after he tried to question them over the stealing of a beach towel.

At around 11.40am on Monday the 27th December, 2010, the couple were outside Funback Surf on Marine Parade, Cottesloe. The couple were observed looking at a beach towel on a stand out the front of the store. Soon after they left the area the towel was missing. The couple came back into the store, where a staff member sighted the stolen towel in their possession. The store manager confronted the couple about the stealing, resulting in the couple retaliating aggressively. As the couple left the store, the female kicked one of the shop signs and left the area heading towards a nearby bottle shop. The store manager followed for a short time until he lost sight of them.
