Perth Detectives are seeking assistance from the public regarding a robbery that occurred in East Perth on Thursday 16 June 2016.

About 9.00pm the victim was walking east along Wellington Street when she was approached by an unknown woman. The woman asked the victim for money and when the victim declined the woman grabbed the victim’s purse and knocked her to the ground. The woman then started pulling on the victim’s hair before running off with her mobile phone.

A Good Samaritan was able to retrieve the phone from the woman however it was badly damaged.

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe can assist them with their inquiries into this incident.

The woman is described as:

  • Dark skinned
  • 16-18 years old
  • 160-165cms tall
  • Dark hair tied back in a bun
  • Wearing a grey hoodie with a white Adidas motive, black leggings and black shoes.
