Community-minded members of the public contacted Crime Stoppers which resulted in a 45-year-old female from Morley being arrested and charged with two counts of stealing.

The elderly woman had her purse stolen on January 14 at around 10.55am while shopping at a supermarket on Hartung Street, Mundaring.  Her brown handbag was zipped up in the front of her trolley.

As the victim began to browse in the fruit and vegetable section, the footage shows a woman approaching her trolley, before taking her purse from her bag.
